C19 Gives Gnocchi Demo

On Monday November 15th, C19 was recognized by Slow Food Philly; C19 was awarded the Snail of Approval. At the event, which was held at Reading Terminal Market, Andrea Luca Rossi and his team demonstrated how to make potato gnocchi.

You can now find C19 at the Rittenhouse Square farmers market every week. Our usual spot has been on the corner of 18th and Market.

This weekend C19 will be featuring the art of making gnocchi while offering sandwiches and a salad with produce from Rineer Farm. We will inform buyers on how to use local products, and every week will feature a different farm and their products. Like us on Facebook to get the recipes from the demonstrations!

C19 is serious about the slow food movement. So serious, in fact, that we were recently given the Snail of Aprproval by Slow Food Philadelphia. This is a prestigious honor that was only awarded to 25 restaurants in the Philadelphia region.

Cichetteria Rebrands to C19

If you’re searching for Chichetteria 19, don’t worry, you found us! We are in the midst of a total re-brand. We started with our name and didn’t stop until we turned over every last light-as-air gnocchi.

On the surface, you’ll notice our new logo, signage, brochures, and stationary. But dine with us for a whole new experience.

Andrea Luca Rossi went back to his roots: his mamma Mirelli came for a visit and whipped his menu back into shape. You’ll find her homemade gnochhi recipe that is as light as air, Andrea’s childhood budino (chocolate pudding) and many other surprises. If you stop by C19′s farmers market stand in Rittenhouse Square in November – you’ll get to see a gnocchi cooking demo. But even better would be tucking into a full plate for dinner tonight!
